The two lengths that dominate here are 143 cm and 180 to 183 cm, and they are not interchangeable. As a rule the runner should either finish a hand's width inside the table ends or hang 15 to 30 cm over each end — anything between the two looks like a mistake. Measure the table before you look at patterns.
Two of these top ten are 20 and 25 metre rolls of satin and organza, 29 cm wide, sold for chair sashes. They work out at 56p and 33p a metre, which is far cheaper than any finished runner — but the ends are raw, so you are cutting and hemming for every event.
