What matters when buying
Cube size before cube count
A 5 cm whisky cube and a standard small cube are different products under the same category name. The big one melts slowly and waters a spirit down less; the small one chills a soft drink faster and fits a narrow glass. Two listings here are built around large cubes, the rest are not.
How many per fill
The trays here hold from twelve cubes to sixty-four. If a tray empties into a glass of squash every afternoon, twelve is one round; a 64-cube set exists so you can fill once and forget it for a week.
The lid, and what it is for
A lid stops the water sloshing on the way to the freezer and stops finished cubes taking on the smell of whatever else is in the drawer. Nine of these ten are sold with one, which tells you how much of a nuisance the open tray was.
Release without a fight
Silicone flexes, so cubes push out from underneath; rigid trays want twisting and cracking. Two listings advertise a whole tray released in one second, which is a claim about the tray design rather than about the ice.
Bin or trays only

Stacking and freezer space
