What matters when buying
Mesh tent or microwave lid
These are two unrelated products sharing one Amazon node. A mesh tent keeps insects off food on an outdoor table and does nothing indoors; a vented plastic lid stops a microwave splattering and would melt on a barbecue. Read which one you are looking at before the price.
Diameter against your dishes
A 14-inch cover takes a dinner plate or a small bowl, 17 inches covers a platter or a cake, and the rigid 35 cm screen sits between the two. Measure the widest serving dish you own before committing to a six-pack in one size.
How many you actually need
The packs here hold three, five or six covers, and a garden buffet needs one per dish. Bramble is the only set with assorted sizes, which matters if your table is a mix of bowls, platters and a cake stand.
Collapsible or rigid
Pop-up mesh covers fold flat into a drawer and take a knock without damage. The metal mesh screen keeps its shape and will not sag onto the food, at the cost of a permanent shelf in the cupboard.
