What matters when buying
Mist or pour — or both
Six of these ten switch between a fine mist and a normal pour. The mist is what makes an air fryer basket work with a gram of oil instead of a glug; the pour is what you want over a salad or into a hot pan. A bottle that only pours cannot do the first job at all.
Continuous spray or single-puff pump
The two FLAIROSOL bottles are sold on a patented continuous-spray head that keeps atomising while you hold the trigger. Ordinary pump misters give one puff per press and tend to splutter as the bottle empties, which is the usual complaint in this category.
Light-blocking glass
Olive oil oxidises in daylight, and a clear cruet left on a bright worktop is the worst place for a bottle you paid £12 for. Only one listing here markets a light-blocking bottle; if yours is clear, keep it out of the sun rather than on the windowsill.
Capacity against how fast you cook
The spread runs 200 ml to 500 ml. A 500 ml bottle is cheaper to fill and refill less often, but the oil sits open longer. If you use a spray twice a week, the 200 ml bottle finishes fresher than the big one.
Nozzle cleaning and neck width
Oil is the one liquid that turns sticky in a spray tube, and a clogged nozzle is what kills these bottles. A wide neck lets you get at the inside, and a supplied funnel means less oil down the outside every time you top it up.
How many bottles you are actually buying
Compare the pack, not the headline. One entry here is four 500 ml bottles for £14.79, another is a two-pack for £14.99, and five separate listings are single bottles at exactly £7.99. Per bottle those are very different prices.
